overboarding ceiling - overboard angled part where it meets wall?
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.04 PM
the plaster on my ceiling was really bad, it had about 50 cracks over it that had been badly repaired over the past 50 years. I've overboarded it and now want to get it plastered, but wondering if I need to plasterboard down the angled part of the ceiling? It goes from horizontal for most of the ceiling, then 2 foot of 45degrees, then vertical. There is a 12.5 - 15mm gap at the side of the existing boards, can a plasterer smooth this in somehow or should I board it? any advice is welcome! http://imgur.com/YMdk8N5 http://imgur.com/b41CdNK http://imgur.com/agOrERp

Board the angle part and a good plasterer will sort the rest.
Take note: the roof rafters will be either right or left hand side of the ceiling joists in most cases.
