New boiler losing pressure, installer says they need to take floor up?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.04 PM

Had new boiler installed, need to up pressure every six days. Installer says I must have a leak under floors somewhere and they need to find it. They haven't rechecked boiler or radiators. The radiators are old. Is this right to look under floors or should they check boiler again? Previous boiler had to top up about twice a year

As the pressure is lost over a period of a few days, this is an indication that the water loss is a minor leak. I would first try adding a leak sealer to the system. As the added solution leaks to aptmosphere, it seals the leak. A very simple remedy is this: http://bit.ly/1O5DUTU

Hi They should check the boiler and rads as you can see all the pipe work etc, once they have been eliminated then you have to look at the pipe work which is not exposed, this may mean taking up the floors. Hope that helps A
