PVA on new plasterboarded and skimmed walls
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.04 PM
I got mixed up with my buckets. Instead of putting a 50/50 mist coat on the walls, I put 50 50 PVA on. I know I cannot paper for 6 months (that is what I have been told) but will the PVA cause problems if I put silk paint on the walls in the mean time?

6 months is a long time , just hope it had dried out before you put pva on it. I would not paint the walls with anything on top of the pva. It's good you are wallpapering, if painting you would have to sand the pva off the walls - hell of a job - probably easier to skim everything again. Good luck
