Putting bath screen on natural stone tiled wall - can I do it myself?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.47 PM

I have a new bath screen to put up on a natural stone tiled wall. I am ok with the drill (put up a blind the other day!) but am terrified of cracking my bathroom tiles! How likely is it that this will happen? Should I attempt the job myself? Any advice or comments would be appreciated! Thanks, Camilla

You only need to ensure you have the correct tile drill bit. A good tip is to tape where you intend to drill, this will help to start the hole with minimal risk to marking the surrounding area of tile. Make sure you have the correct rawl plugs for the job. Not difficult. David (trinity roofing)

Agree with Trinity, as long as you have the correct drill bit, go to a good tile supplier and tell them exactly what type you are drilling and they will sell you the correct type, it will probably be a diamond tipped drill bit.
