Delay in water from pressurised system reaching taps/shower.

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.00 PM

Hi. For the past 4 weeks, at different times of the day, there is a significant delay (30 secs) between turning on the hot or cold tap and the water starting to flow. There is no sign of air in the line or the sound of it being purged through. System is 5 years old. Could it be a sign that the Pump is in trouble? Thanks, Mitch

If you say it is a pressurised system, it won't have a pump. it may need re charging at the expansion vessel, get a G3 unvented plumber to take a look.
