Can I get an independent specialist to provide a damp guarantee?

We've had the damp work done, but there have been some issues as to the finishing works and we're not prepared to pay the amount due. The company are now refusing to issue a guarantee. Can we bypass them and get an independent specialist to provide a guarantee by means of a survey for the work done?

You will not get a guarantee for a job that hasn't been paid for. I suggest you and the company concerned address the issues you have.

No, who in their right mind is going to guarantee someone else's work, the only people who can guarantee this is the people who have done it. Either pay for the work or live without a guarantee. Good luck
