Which combination door lock will fit my shed door?
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.47 PM
Hello! I've got a shed with a lock on the door that's shown in the photos below. I'd like to replace it with a combination lock so that I don't need to use a key. Would a "60mm nightlatch" lock fit? Any particular locks that you would recommend? Thank you for your help! http://i.imgur.com/eRWRuom.jpg http://i.imgur.com/gb8mE4A.jpg Regards, Graham.

What you already have fitted is a nightlatch, as far as I'm aware you won't get any sort of combination lock that would be a straight swap if this is what you're looking for
The only thing I'd recommend would be a mechanical or digital push button lock, this will still require drilling out the door to fit it but the actual mechanism may hide the old hole from the nightlatch.
Other than that a simpler cheaper option would be to fit a hasp and staple with a combination padlock or a combination bolt and disable the current nightlatch.

If you reinforce the shed door with a heavier sheet of wood on the inside then you could fit an
Asec 2300 Mechanical Push Button Digital Lock ***With Holdback***. They can be bought on ebay for around £30.
