System boiler losing pressure (Viessmann Vitodens 100-W WB1C 35KW)

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.47 PM

I've recently had a system boiler installed along with a 300l hot water cylinder. This replaced a combi boiler and the installation went onto an existing pipe network. The boiler is a Viessman Vitodens 100-W WB1C 35KW. Both boiler and cylinder were recommended by the installation company. Over the last 2 weeks or so I'm having to top up the water pressure on the boiler about 3-4 times a day, there are no signs of water leaking at the radiators, ceilings or at blow off pipe. The company used to install the boiler and cylinder has sent his engineer to check for any installations issues or leaks. I have been advised that the installation is correct and that there are no visible leaks. I have spoke to Viessmann technical and they advised that it either has to be a leak in the system or water escaping from the blow off. Water at some of the outlets is also cloudy, is this usual? The company that installed it boiler and cylinder are gas safe registered, but did not hand over a commissioning certificate or the log book for the boiler. Any advice on these matters would be appreciated.

Either Expansion vessel requires repriming or there is an internal heat exchanger leak running through your condensate
