Washing machine isolating switch will not turn off

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.49 PM

Hi, I've just tried to turn off my washer from isolating switch on worktop and it will not budge. It's like something is preventing the actual switch going from on to off. Anyone have an answer as to why this might be? I used the machine earlier and had no problems, but the second wash I've done will not let me switch off. Thanks Thank you for your response! I've just put another wash on and it keeps turning itself off then back on, both the isolator and the machine! What would be the cause of this?? Thanks

Probably the switch contacts inside have welded or there is a loose connection and the heat has caused it to sieze up. If it is a loose connection then it's worth getting it checked out and getting switch replaced before it gets any worse.
