Preparing wall for wallpaper - do I need to seal walls with PVA?

Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.31 PM

I have stripped my walls of wallpaper and the paint has come off in patches and I want to repaper. Do I need to seal the walls with pva and then repaper or do I need to repaint the areas that have peeled and them pva then re wallpaper? Thanks

Sand down the walls and apply a coat of size which is very water down paste mix. If the walls have got rough paint edges which might show though the wallpaper then hang a lining paper first.
