Foam roof repair
Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.31 PM
Hi, I have solar panels on roof, when fitted they damaged some tiles. The repair was done removing old tiles and foam from back of tile, then they refit new tiles by removing the tabs from back of tile and slide back in saying the new foam will hold it in place. Is this the right way or wrong way to do the job? Please help Richard

Well anything involving foam would be a short-temporary fix. The right way is how it is applied in the first place underlay, battens then tiles to be applied. Tiles usually just hook on to batten unless its really pitched, then you nail them on, shouldn't need foam unless there is a problem with these materials.
