How do you change a bathroom downlight?
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.49 PM
One of my lights in the bathroom have stopped working- I presume that the bulb needs changing. These are very different to kitchen spot lights. There is nothing I can pull onto on the light. Do I have to rip the casing out of the wall?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hello there,
Your bathroom must be IP65 light which comes with front cover this cover can be unlock clock or clock wise or if its spring supported you can pull from the side or you can use Gu10 or MR16 bulb remover which comes with the light fitting.
I hope this will help you remove its main casing.
I advise if you are not competent do not go beyond changing the bulb as this may result safety for you and the property.
All the best.
Post the job on my builder and have your job shorted.

Get an electrician if you're not sure, it's unwise to take a chance as that's what we are trained for.
