BIASI Riva Compact boiler gives hot water only when central heating is started

HI, I have a BIASI RIVA COMPACT HE MK2 boiler. As it's summer time now, the boiler does not operate on central heating mode. The problem I have is first thing in the morning when we need hot water, we don't get any. When the hot water tap is opened, the boiler makes a noise, the lights switch on as they should, but the boiler does not fire. The solution to this is to switch off the hot water and run the boiler on the central heating mode for around 10-15 minutes. Once this done, then we get hot water when the tap is opened. This then normally fixes the problem for the rest of the day. However sometimes we have to repeat this process 2-3 times a day when the boiler stops giving hot water. What could be the issue with the boiler? Many thanks for your help.
