I've tried everything to tighten two basin taps. I have bought a crow foot basin wrench 1/2"-3/4" and an angled type spanner but still can't get a grip. It is very difficult to reach. Any advise?

thank you for all your advice. I'm too old to remove the basin myself and have no one to help me. but I will try a set of mole grips.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi poor little pepper do you no if the pipework is in copper of a bit of flexi hose if flexi hose you could try two top hat washers under the taps that will hold it better also use some plumbers mate in the tap hole (where the tap gos though the sink) Regards NPM Plumbing

Persistence will pay off ! Basin taps are a damn challenge at times. Sweat and sometimes blood and real satisfaction once released. So release the Kraken in you and you will prevail. Failing that then call a professional like myself. We make it look easy. God knows how many basin taps I've either had to tighten or release ! Oh don't over tighten the nuts or you may well split the fibre washer.
