What does a capped gas pipe look like?

I'm having my kitchen refitted, today they came and ripped everything out. I'm replacing the gas hob with an induction hob but I'm not sure they have capped off the pipe, it looks like they have just turned it off and cut and bent the pipe but as I don't know what this is meant to look like, I'm not sure.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Just simply Google 'capped off gas pipe image'

Ask for a safety certificate from a gas safe engineer to prove it is safe. By law anyone who works on gas must be registered with gas safe
