Can a combi boiler be fitted in a garage?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.47 PM

Hi, I currently have an old and inefficient back boiler and I am wanting to replace this with a combi boiler. Due to the location of exterior walls and conflicting interior wall space - finding a suitable location for the boiler is proving problematic. I have been told a good location would be on the exterior wall of my attached garage with the pipe work running over the top of my ceiling - is this possible? Currently my gas meter is located in the garage with the pipe work running over the top of the ceiling. I would appreciate any advice and comments as I have been given conflicting advice.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes a combi can be fitted in a solid brick construction garage, but bear in mind that any susceptible frost damage pipework must be protected by well insulating it!
