Central Heating Question

Can anyone tell me why our new larder under counter fridge can not keep uniform temperature throughout the cabinet?

Whilst the temperature on the top shelf of the fridge is correct food on bottom shelf freezes. The engineer who inspected it thought it was a thermostat issue and replaced it but it has made no difference.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

it could be the door seal.or if not that, then is a fault with the refrigerant charge.

It could well be undergassed but it also could be due to insufficent rear ventillation, all fridges need to disperse the heat from the rear element (evaporator) if its all sealed in with no air flow your fridge will stop cooling due to the fact it can no long disperse the heat it has absorbed in the internal coil ( condenser).
Hope this helps.
