How long before I can use Vinyl Matt paint?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.02 PM

Kitchen walls hard plastered. I waited 3 weeks then used a contract emulsion for a mist and 2 top coats. New walls in extension plasterboarded and skimmed. Waited 2 weeks and did same as for kitchen. Would like to put vinyl matt paint on walls before kitchen it installed in 3 weeks time. Will the walls be dry enough to do so or am I asking for trouble?

You will be fine as long as you allowed the plaster enough time to dry fully etc which 2-3 weeks is more than enough in the current weather temperate etc (normal conditions) also as long as the contract emulsion you used as a mist coat was watered down enough and not neat, then you can go ahead and paint with vinyl Matt whenever you wish to from now onwards
