We need to raise the floor in our kitchen by between 2.5cm and 4.5cm. What is the best way to level and raise it for tiling? It is concrete with firmly fixed thermoplastic tiles.

Uneven in places. Can it be screeded or is it too small a depth? Thanks

For this depth (2.5cm - 4.5cm) a washed sand and cement screed would be the best solution, leaving enough room for your choice of floor covering, hope this helps

The easiest way is to use a self levelling compound, you may have to use multiple layers on the thicker areas.

There are self-levelling products that can be used for that depth
