Central Heating

Device to override central heating thermostat

Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.31 PM

Good afternoon. We have gas central heating & the thermostat is in the dining room. This switches the heating off when we spend any length of time in there so it is difficult to keep warm in winter while eating & socialising...so we don't go in there to eat. Is there a plug-in ( or wireless ) device we can buy to put in the hall which would over-ride the thermostat in the dining room if we set that one to zero ? Thank you.

Yes there are many wireless room thermostats, by manufacturers such as Honeywell, Danfoss,Drayton, Horstmann. and Salus etc. That will suit the purpose, links below to help you choose: http://www.plumbnation.co.uk/site/honeywell-dt92e-wireless-digital-room-thermostat/ http://www.plumbnation.co.uk/site/drayton-digistat---rf-wireless-room-thermostat/ http://www.heatingcontrolsonline.co.uk/programmable-thermostats-c-21_31.html/salus-st620rf-wireless-programmable-thermostat-p-1126.html http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/231045648457?showlimghlp=true&lpid=92&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=92&ff19=0 Copy and paste any of the above links in to your browser
