10 year guarantee but poor communication and no shows
We had works carried out on rear garden last year, a leveling of our grass area and a patio was laid. The guy's done a reasonable job but certain factors I requested couldn't be carried out for various reasons which sounded fine to me but were never discussed during the design stage.
Since then a few small faults have developed with slabs becoming loose and also we required some other minor work which I generated myself (split some fence stain and need it removed), the company said they would send someone round on Saturday (after several months of nagging). No one showed and no feedback after emails and voicemails and in general their mobile is off and also their landline is the same. Also we have found the new drain which was laid which spans fence to fence is causing huge puddles in my neighbors garden, they have been really good about it but obviously it needs fixed.
I'm just not sure what to do, it seems they won't come to fix it even with my 10 year guarantee, getting a solicitor involved is too expensive.
Any advice would be greatly received.
They sound like cowboys, you're better off just giving up on them and getting a recommend builder to solve your problems. The money it would cost you to chase them you will solve the problem with, make sure and get every thing in writing before they start and pay by cheque or transfer. Good luck
