How easy is it to remove a central heating system?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.58 PM
We have a 1950's gas boiler which is old, inefficient & obviously needs replacing. We want to install a tankless mains water heater and just remove the old boiler and radiators, so we can heat each room independently, but I am having difficulty in finding out how to go about having the old system removed. I think I'll need a gas fitter to remove the actual boiler, but can I remove all the radiators myself? Thanks in advance for any advice.

The existing gas appliance can ONLY be removed/made safe by a Gas Safe installer, as for the safe removal/de-commissioning of associated pipework and radiators the installer I'm sure would be happy to advise on the day.
