Plug sockets go off for 5 minutes then come back on again

Hi, I don't understand what is happening with our plug sockets, in the last month they have gone off for about 5 mins then come back on again. The strange thing is they don't trip the rcd box. In the past the rcd box would trip the switch but it doesn't seem to when this occurs. The lights seem unaffected and haven't gone off. I would be grateful for any advice on what this could be - it just seems so strange, and I also worry about the safety aspect. Kind regards, Jen

Given the info you have furnished, I believe your problem to be a loose connection and if I have it right, you seem to say all your sockets on one circuit. If that's so, then the problem should be in the consumer unit. This should be carried out by a qualified person so post a job on this site and get it tested and repaired. Kevin.
