Bathroom Fitting

Can you mix separate hot and cold water taps in a bathroom basin?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.58 PM

The hot water in the bathroom sink in my rented flat is too hot. Is there a connector I can use to connect the hot and cold water taps together so they mix? The boiler doesn't have a thermostat! It seems very old and has one switch hand labelled as 'Day' and another 'Night'.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi Yes, you can install a thermostatic mixing valve which is a connectors comprising stop valve, strainer, test point and check valve. For use where high water temperatures could lead to scalding. REGARDS INFINITY SERVICE Luca

It's probably easier to turn down the thermostat on your water heater/boiler
