Noisy pipes when loft tank fills
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.01 PM
I had a terrible noise when the loft tank was filling. I changed the ballcock but the noise became worse. I have tried adjusting the water pressure in both the loft and from the main stopcock but all to no avail. The noise is like a whining sound and can last for up to 4 minutes when only the smallest amount of water is used. Could anyone please advise what else I can do? Thank you Chris.

Hello, there are a number of different types of valve, ask at the plumbers merchant and use a different valve, this usually cures the problem.
