Working out cost of replacing bathroom tiles - labour cost done per square metre?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.58 PM
I am trying to cost out of replacing bathroom tiles. 2 walls is half tile & half wallpaper, to take off bathroom tiles and paper strip back and re plaster and re tile, also an area around bathroom window. Do I measure around and work out the sq metre, is the labour cost done per sq metre? Tiles to supplied by me. Many thanks

The only way of getting an idea of cost is to get some proper quotes!! No-one I know prices this kind of job by m2.You need to take into account the fact that the area is probably only small but is likely to have obstacles to tile around meaning your tiler would earn nothing on a m2 basis. What you would be paying for is the tradesmans TIME not the area covered.Obviously the size and type of tile would make a difference,as would the type of repairs needed to your walls once stripped.Post a job on here and get some proper,on site advice:)
