Problem with tiler - poor finish and unfinished look
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.45 PM
We have had an extension and all was well until the plumber/tiler turned up. One issue is the silicone between the edge of wall tiles and door architrave and between sink and splashback is in my opinion poorly finished. It is lumpy in the middle and the ends and has spilt over onto the tiles. On the wall there is a gap at the top leaving an unfinished look. These things are apparently going to be put right but very grudgingly and under the terms of "only doing it because it's you." I feel as though I have a very 2 star tradesman in my house. Thoughts?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You have answered your own question, plumber/tiler in my opinion is each to their own, if you needed some tiling done, employ a tiler! If you needed some plumbing done, employ a plumber!
