How to uncap a gas pipe to re-use for gas hob
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.00 PM
Hi, I live in Herefordshire and am having a gas hob fitted with electric oven, I hope. There is a gas boiler near by and also I can see the gas pipe which has been cut and capped back to the wall, as an electric cooker was used by previous tenant. Could anyone tell me how I go about getting the pipe uncapped and extended so that I can have a gas hob?

Hi
Any work on the gas must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. I'm in Hereford and could do this job for you.
