Have bought house. Neff dishwasher. After 2 hours 20 minutes still going. Does not drain. Usual rubbish when you buy a house.

Start at the drain in the bottom of the dishwasher, check and remove any blockages, check the hose to the outlet on the u bend normally under the sink, u can normally take of the Jubilee clip with a screwdriver, check and clean that. Check the final route for the waste water, if it's blocked it won't pump upto the drainage point, dishwasher's pump the waste to the end of the flexi hose, your household waste plumbing uses gravity from there. ( If you are confident, hold the end of the flexi over a bucket and see if it is pumping to that point, if not your blockage is in the machine)

Dish washers work on the same principals as a washing machine! if the house has been empty for a whiel and the washer has not cycled properly then a blockage is the proberbal cause, However the machine should be flashing up a warning F1 or F somthing to let you know of a fault!!!!!
