Concrete and screed or power floated concrete for barn conversion floor?
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.00 PM
I'm in the process of planning my barn conversion and trying to budget some costs. The architect is still working on the drawings and spec so am just doing it from my own calls at the minute. Question is, for the floor do I have to have sub base, insulation, concrete then screed for the finish, or can I have sub base, insulation and just power floated concrete for the finish? Thanks
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes you can just have the sub base, insulation and then a power float finish will be ok. I'd say it's entirely up to you if you want a that or a screed finish but power floating it to a good polished finish will be fine.
