How to get professional finish for hardwood windows?

I would like to paint my hardwood windows. Previously the windows have had 3 applications of Sikkens stain. What is the best way to deaden the stain and get a professional finish.

Hi,you could key the surface of the wood with sandpaper and use a supergrip primer, then apply two undercoat and one gloss for a solid white finish. I recommend Dulux weathershield.

Rough up the surface with a 240 grip sandpaper and scotch pad. make sure you get everywhere so the paint sticks. go over with a sikkens primer then paint whichever coluor you like. I am a spray painter and specialise in these things. I could maybe quote you on it.
