can we put shelving in front of hot water tank

We have just had a large 200 litre tank put in our airing cupboard and would like to put a couple of wooden shelves in front of it to hold towels. Is there any issue with this? We wouldn't be obstructing access to the controls our valves. Thanks

No problem, common practise. Just make sure that they are de-mountable for future maintenance/repair to cylinder.
