Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.57 PM
I would like to fit a plaster board with insulation on an exterior wall, the area of the wall is 8.516 m and it has two windows, it doesn't have cavity as the house is very old and cold. how much should I expect to pay, will I noticed any savings in my bills as a consequence?? thanks

Hi there
Any insulation will help to keep the warmth in so consequently save on heating bills. Also you do still need ventilation throughout - you do not mention any problems with condensation but I presume there must be because of you posting question under damp proofing. As for price this depends - as well as the insulation there is the carpentry skirting plus any pipe work that may need moving to many things to take into account the two windows make it a more difficult job because of angles and depths you need to have a plasterer round to quote.
