Gas Works

when should i service my gas boiler

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.57 PM

I'm wondering does it make much difference when I get my boiler serviced? I could do it in the summer months as I thought it might be cheaper and easier to get someone round to look at the boiler. But I'm worried if I do it soon, then the boiler will sit around for a few months in the summer without being used and then issues could develop? Any advice appreciated

Most sensible people have their boiler serviced during the early/late autumn months before the advent of winter, as for your boiler standing idle - it wont, something has to provide you with hot water or do you solely rely on your immersion heater during the summer months? As for the cost of servicing your boiler, it will be a standard rate throughout the year but will vary slightly from engineer to engineer.
