Can I legally move my freestanding cooker

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 2.59 PM

Hi When fitting my new kitchen I want to move my free standing cooker 10-15 cm to the right of its current position. I will not involve disconnecting the cooker, cutting or moving any pipe work and would result in the black hose that runs from the cooker to the gas pipe being closer to the cooker than it is now. thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes you can move the cooker as long as you do not break into a gas way, this also means disconnecting the cooker hose and reconnecting - Forbidden! If in doubt ask your local Gas Safe installer to help.
