Is it worth insulating an 1930's bay?
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 2.59 PM
1930's bay to a bedroom window with red tiles on, may or may not need new timber lathes, a vapour barrier, insulation and then tiles and flashing replacement. Each workman has told me something different My mum is extremely poorly and lives in the bedroom with the bay so want minimum disruption. Scared to leave it , because if shes lucky enough to make it to next winter dont want her to be cold. But part of me wonders if a double radiator in the bedroom will solve yhe issue for a bit. Dont know who to listen to as have so many conflicting opinions, one builder who did a runner with neighbours money, and busy looking after at the same time Need some good advice please.
