adjusting upvc window

Hi, we have a couple of windows that are not sealing at the hinge. Do i need new hinges or can they be adjusted by turning the little screws?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Usually if there is a gap showing daylight or you can hear road/wind noise then this is an indication that you hinges are coming to the end of their life and the only answer is to renew them.
It could also be that the screws holding the hinges to the frame have become loose in their slots causing the casement (the opening part) to not sit square in the frame.
The little slotted screws (usually brass coloured) are for adjusting the amount of friction required when opening or closing the casement.

If there is a gap running along the hinge edge then your hinges need replacing with new ones. This is a simple jod for a fitter to repaire.
