Poor flow on hot water since fitting modern mixer tap

Was interested in the solution that Nick@repairs gave to this probleb by fitting a "saddle tank" between hot and cold systems. Could Nick or someone else explain in more detail please?

the cartridge may be in the wrong way

Most likely cause the Cartridge.
