lights not working in bathroom, bedrooms and living room
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.44 PM
Hi My lights don't seem to be working in the bathroom, bedrooms and living room. They were working this morning. Checked the fuse box - not tripped! Found the switch that said lights and turned it off and on again and they are still not working. Had a look in the bathroom and there are no other switches I can see to reset, or in the kitchen, hall etc. Help!
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere on the circuit, or it could even be a faulty circuit breaker or that the MCB is loose on the busbar inside the fusebox? Unless you have access to a test equipment your going to need to hire a registered electrician to come and do some diagnostc testing and find the cause of the problem. It can probably be resolved in a couple of hours or less depending what the initial test results show. Personally I'd guess that its a loose neutral somewhere on the circuit.

Hi,
You could have several things that are faulty.
1st the Trip switch could have failed and although it is in the "on" position it may not be working.
2nd There may be a secondary switch or fuse that has failed. Have you had work done recently?
3rd You could have the main lighting feed broken. unlikely but possible
thanks
James
