Restoration & Refurbishment

Complete refurb of a 3 bedroom house

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 2.58 PM

We have just viewed a 3-bed, 3-reception house which needs a complete refurb and are wondering if it's reasonable to ask a builder to come along to a 2nd viewing to give a rough idea of the cost of the works before we put in an offer. If our offer is accepted we would of course ask for a detailed quote at that point, but we want to have a better idea of the likely cost of the work required before making an offer. House is in greater London and requires rewiring and replastering throughout, refitting 2 bathrooms, new central heating system and double glazing. We also want to move the kitchen (currently narrow galley kitchen) to one of the reception rooms, knock down a conservatory and replace roof of a brick-built outbuilding.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
