UPVC Front Door

Please read BEFORE you HIRE!!
Chris James from WBS06 'Westwood Building Solutions' fitted a UPVC Front Door and ensuite shower, toilet & sink - for which he has taken payment for but not rectified the faults he left behind!
After 9 weeks, he left me with 2 water leaks and a shower that didn't work and the last time I saw him he said he was "off to get some parts" - he never returned!
Chris refused to answer his phone so I located his home address (NB: he's not lived at his registered business address for over 2 years) and presented him with another plumbers invoice for remedial work to fix his errors. He informs me he's owed money from other jobs and is considering bankruptcy as he can't afford to pay me (which explains why I had to provide and collect all materials for the job).
I have been left with no choice but to begin legal action against Chris via the small claims courts - not a route I wanted to go down as all I want is my shower working!
His trail of destruction included:
- Leaking shower pipes in wall cavity causing internal wall and flooring damage (Chris blamed a hole in the roof!)
- Leaking toilet (as it was not fastened to the floor or wall!) causing damage to downstairs ceiling, walls and flooring
- Damaged the shower pump circuit board due to incorrectly piped water supply (didn't read the instructions then admitted he'd never fitted a Salamander pump & didn't know what he was doing!)
- Created leaks in airing cupboard after changing pipe layout to shower
- Damaged caused to Thermostatic mixer valve resulting in either red hot or ice cold water - no thermostatic control
- Realignment to UPVC door which still squeaks today
In my own personal experience....
...if you’re looking for an honest good quality tradesman you can trust - I'd hire someone else!
NB: Mybuilder.com has provided me with numerous other great tradesmen who have fitted out my kitchen and redecorated my house to an excellent standard - so please do NOT lose confidence in this great service!

What can I say, this guy has serious problems and the police have been involved, I will let my other feed back speak for itself as regards Richard Hage I will let the police deal with him and cannot comment anymore until the matter has been resolved by the courts
