So this is a tricky one. While the end quality of the work that was done was good (and hence the overall positive review) - we had a number of issues along the way. The roof being cleaned had solar panels attached - which I specifically asked ahead of time whether they would be fine in the process of the roof cleaning. The company specifically assured me that they had much experience in this area and so we agreed to go with their quote. However, during the work the solar panels ceased to function properly. Following an inspection by a qualified engineer and some minor remedial work they are now functioning again. It was not entirely clear as to whether the previous lack of servicing by us or the water ingress by Hartley’s were entirely to blame for this loss of function so we came to an gentleman’s agreement with Hartley’s about the cost of this additional work. There were a few minor items about the management of the site during the work - but I have been assured by the owner that these will be corrected in the future.
