Review left on 3 Nov 2020Rating: 1 out of 5Bathroom fitting - changing bath to shower(Updated on 9 Nov 2020)We hired Peter to do our bathroom - he fitted a new bath, shower and sink unit, and tiled the bathroom, including the bath panel. Approximately 6 weeks after finishing the job, a major leak started in the bath plumbing, which was found to be the result of an old/broken part that Peter had supplied and used under the bath. In order to access it, the bath panel had to be sawn through, and it was badly water-damaged from the leak. We attempted to contact Peter multiple times to come and look at the bath panel, with a view to replacing it and having it re-tiled. Unfortunately, after sending him the videos of the leak, and photos of the faulty part he supplied, he stopped replying to messages and refused to answer or return calls. This now means on top of what we have paid Peter for the work, we have also now paid another £150 for an emergency plumber to fix the leak, and have been left with a broken bath panel, which needs replacing and re-tiling, and looks awful. We have been very patient and made multiple attempts to contact Peter before writing this review, as we wanted to give him the chance to discuss with us, and hopefully make good the damage caused to our bathroom. We are extremely unhappy with Peter and the work he has done for us, and would not use again or recommend.Answer from tradesperson:
Slightly unfair review in my opinion. Thank you anyway, I'll try use it to improve my service. I feel your frustration, so and I do. The leak was not due the improper installation. But a FAULTY item.- I've no influence on it. It was brand new, straight from the store. We got the invoice, warranty for it. It was tested prior the completion and used by you for weeks. For sure its easier to shift responsibility from manufacter and demand to cover the damage. To the person. I spend my time and petrol to gather it. I didn't ask you to supply materials to save your time and effort. After all you could have bought the same one if you'd go. I realize, this is frustrating. I'm always properly testing my works. And using brand new, quality fittings. I'm really sorry for the situaction. I'm more then happy to help with repair. I guarantee my works. But can not really being peneltized for faulty materials exposed weakness after time. Best Regards Peter

Review left on 10 Jul 2019Rating: 1 out of 5New bathroom and toilet to be fitted(Updated on 10 Oct 2019)I have never written a negative review but I have been so upset about the manner in which this job ended, I felt it necessary. Peter took on the job of a bathroon &cloakroom. He worked diligently, neatly, was always polite, in fact I had it in mind to ask him to do another bathroom for us in the near future based on how he appeared to work. After 2 weeks he had almost finished the job with some external plumbing to complete, external holes in walls to refill, 2 new doors to attach, inserting a missing tile, completing plumbing on a sink, filling a few internal holes that were made (plus a few more things). Because we were so happy about the almost completed job, we made the terrible mistake of paying Peter for all of his labour. After a week he came back and did a few little things. After this I contacted him a number of times before he returned weeks later for an hour or so, promising to return and complete and take the remainder of rubbish. Despite being 32 weeks pregnant and messaging, calling etc Peter has not returned. I had to post another job to complete this one plus some extra things I had asked Peter to do and he was willing to do as a new job. I've had to pay out for another tradesman to complete. Additionally a part of our shower which he installed isn't working properly, which I informed him about. I was very trusting and do not feel I can trust another tradesman after this terrible experience, made worse by the fact that Peter was so pleasant face-to-face.Answer from tradesperson:
Thank you for the "first" review mrs. Azikiwe. As you mention. I provided you bathroom and cloakroom, full reno from scratch. Within scheduled estimate work list, time-line 2 weeks, quality and money quote. That's why I been paid in full. It costs a lot of effort and sad to read this review. For certain, I'll take an lesson from this job and your review to improof my service. I do my best to make customer happy. And doing quite plenty extra works as a good maner. With years of experience, it comes almost effortlessly for me and dont mind to do a little extra, for happy face with completion results. Like reinforce rooten floor in your cloakroom, appliances- radiator position alteration, install larger then initially agreed shower under alcove for you which was also tricky ( not sure what's wrong with, if sprays, temp control and waterproof) For free. Afterwords. A bit sad, this actually doesnt matters but only "little extra" grows and gain your comment. Finally surprised. "I've had to pay out for another tradesman" Well, that's how it work. We do our job, but wander to being paid for as well. I came two more days to the estimate agree. I bet quite plenty. At least you not pointing what's accomplished. All the best for you and your family. Peter

Review left on 21 May 2019Rating: 3 out of 5URGENT - New bathroom. Job Starting MONDAY 8.04Peter was lovely, easy to deal with and quick to respond. The price is reasonable however the attention to detail on my job was not great. It may have been due to short deadline (1 week) but even with 2 extra days, there are still a quite few points i am not entirely satisfied with. Peter offered to come back and fix some of it but i had then moved in and no more time to do so. I would still recommend peter but maybe on longer deadlines.Review from 4bythorn, Stockwell, London 4bythorn, Stockwell, London
Review left on 23 Jul 2018Rating: 5 out of 5Change everything in the bathroom(Updated on 24 Jul 2018)We're very happy with our new bathroom. Peter did a great job of installing new bath ware, re-tiling floor and walls and re-decorating. He didn't add any extra charges, left everything clean and tidy, and took away all the debris. This was a learning experience for all of us. We learned we needed to be super careful in explaining what we wanted, as Peter, when installing a partition wall we'd asked for, was on the verge of making it bisect a built-in laundry box until we pointed out that this needed to be removed. And Peter learned that you also have to be super careful when grouting a non-smooth tiled floor, as spillages are extremely difficult to clean up!
