Tom was a nice chap, he was tidy and courteous. Sadly I got him quite late in the day and I think this might have been a factor in the quality of work as it looks a bit hurried.
I waited until the plaster was dried and I could paint it before leaving a review so I could be as fair as possible. The job is just about almost passable. I can see the artex patterns/hills and valleys through the plaster in parts even after painting, and other parts have chips and lines, subtle but my OCD detects it.
I have another artex ceiling plastered downstairs by another plasterer so have a comparison, the difference is night and day sadly :(
Secondly Tom went into a room that had been freshly plaster boarded and backing papered ready to paint with 2 walls mint and painted.
There was a lot of PVA drips down the walls etc which make it a lot more difficult for me to paint the wall after they dried. It would have been really easy and nice for me as a customer for him to just wipe with a damp cloth going along as when they dry they are a nightmare to remove, It would be nice if Tom takes this into mind for the next time he's working in someone's house I would be paying a decorator to remove those errors, again I could put this down to the hurried nature of the job which was started late {not Toms fault}.
Yes it's not terrible. I guess any plasterer in a hurry is going to be pushed to make a mirror so I'm leaving a neutral review I don't think I've seen Toms best work.
