After repairing leaking tiled roof, CARL advised having Roof cleaned & painted (+re-felt-no evidence of being done) also small porch flat roof re-felted. Chimney had already been re-pointed, but he charged for it. Guttering still leaks. Paint already peeling, he says it's the pigeons! He charged £9,500 + £4,200 for leak repair(£13,700 I PAID IN FULL) He returned a week later, offering to convert my small extension giving me a quotation for £28,740 for insulating floors, walls & roof, replacing shower & adding a toilet (Later I requested sewer connection) Installing patio doors (he purchased on EBay + small cheap window. Updating electrics, (also several other jobs Replacing dining room window & replacing French doors with window, BUT SEEING TERRIBLE QUALITY OF HIS WORK I CANCELLED THESE). Workmen throw food & rubbish everywhere, even stuffing it in wall/insulation cavity! Have days off without notification. Throw building rubble all over the lawn, saying the stones will sink & be ok if he throws grass seed over it. I had to scrape a whole wheelbarrow full + bucket loads before mowing lawn-I'm 77yrs. He does jobs without permission, saying he he's DOING IT AS A FAVOUR,THEN CHARGES ME!! He comes to my door each Friday asking for even more money...I've already paid £55,000. He now refuses to finish outstanding work until I pay him even more money. (30% DEPOSIT, 30% ON COMPLETION OF ROOF WORK, 60% ON COMPLETION OF ALL WORKS REQUESTED ON QUOTE) I CERTAINLY WOULD'NT RECOMMEND HIM!!
