Review left on 21 Sep 2017Rating: 3 out of 5Patio Door Installation(Updated on 13 Jul 2018)Steve came to quote on my job. Turned up when he said he would and gave me a competitive price. I had some other quotes but decided to hire Steve. On the day of the installation, he turned up on time and fitted the patio door. It looked really nice and I was happy with the job. Steve told me the paperwork usually takes 2-3 weeks to arrive so I paid him his money. After 2-3 weeks no paperwork so I decided to contact FENSA myself. The installation had not even been registered! Rang Steve and got a few excuses but promised he would sort it. 9 Weeks after the installation I received my correct paperwork (the first certificate had the wrong installation address on). I could not fault his price or his work but getting the paperwork from him was difficult as someone else has already stated in their feedback.Answer from tradesperson:
The job was FENSA registered but as rob said the address was wrong. This was rectified and sent to customer.

Review left on 4 Jul 2017Rating: 1 out of 5UPVC overhall(Updated on 22 Sep 2017)Terrible job. Took my sash windows without consent. Months after completing the job I still cannot raise him to get him back to fix the chipped window sills. A poor job all round and not interested in the customer. Stay away from this guy.Answer from tradesperson:
This job was fitted in march 2015. And if I did such a bad job why has it took the customer over 2 years to post a bad review. This was a property renovation and with that customer provided a skip with most of his windows was disposed of into his skip. Mr robson did send me some photos of parts he was not happy with this did include a photo of a window board close up of the end cap and showing the saw marks on the window board. But then later sending me a txt message saying he had sorted it. 99% of my clients expect me to remove all waste. If a skip is provided and client allows me to then I leave the waste.

Honestly, I'm not very happy. This is the first negative feedback I've left from many jobs on mybuilder. The work was done on time, and the installation was done well... however... he never registered the work with FENSA. The installation was done on 28th April. It's now 1st July and I still don't have the FENSA certificate. I asked for it on four separate occasions and I got back excuse after excuse. I eventually got tired of waiting and I complained to FENSA and I was then told directly by FENSA that he had not registered the installation at all. FENSA registration is the ONLY proof you have that you met building regulation so it's extremely important to get it. More than two months passed without any sign of it and I was told directly by Steve from Midas that it was registered on 28th April ... but it was not.. this was a lie. I'm now very concerned that any warranty I have has evaporated. Be extremely careful if you hire him that you get your certificate. I wanted to hire him to replace my front and back door, but now I will look elsewhere.Answer from tradesperson:
Internal doors do not require fensa registration, even though I did register this door When trying to contact Matt he would only txt me back with "my solicitor has told me not to contact you". But never heard any more from him or solicitor

Review left on 23 Sep 2015Rating: 5 out of 5Replace windows
Steve has done a fantastic job in replacing all the windows and front door in our rental property. As there was a problem delaying delivery by a few days, he worked on Saturday in order to complete the job on time. When my husband locked himself out of the house (with the keys inside!), Steve travelled down immediately to help gain access. Really good service, a pleasant man to work with and competitive rates. Highly recommend.Review from jeanm_31, Rushden jeanm_31, Rushden
