However, there were some issues that prevent me from giving a better review. Although Stephen seemed keen to do our work, he did not arrive at the time arranged and appeared not to leave until after I called 30 minutes later. I had sent a video of the leak and asked for a quote. Stephen quoted a range depending on the time it took to fix and parts required. It took him 15 minutes to fix and the only parts required were replacement washers. With this I was expecting the lower range but he charged the mid range. Comparing afterwards to other plumber's rates, I realised he charged 40% higher than the average rate, which was disappointing.Answer from tradesperson:
The price I charged for this job was very reasonable and I fixed damaged pipework and also unblocked drains back to manhole. I did not go over the price I quoted but had to charge what I said as I was right in it being what was described to me on the phone.
