I took Simon on to add to our roof insulation because of the good reviews on your website. They're absolutely justified. He does what it says on the tin - turns up on time, does a fast efficient job in a pleasant and courteous way, leaves no mess, and charges a very reasonable rate. Simon recently came out to assess my roof which had a long standing minor leak, that had foxed a number of roofers and had many attemps to solve. Simon wasted no time in locating what appeared to be the problem, and set to renewing the 'Soaker' lead work which was to short. Simon was very confident that this was the root cause and offered to return FOC if the leak persisted. Simon was very obliging and costs were reasonable, he is clearly very knowledgable and seems a genuinely nice guy whos standard of work is high. Having had quite a few down pours without incident since Simons visit the leak does appear to have been fixed at last. Review left on 14 Oct 2014Rating: 5 out of 5had to strip an reroof mr Davis slate roof which had a lot of lead work an lead detail to attend to. we stripped his roof an stripped all matterials of roof. we then had to re-board down new ply were the lead box gutters go as old had rottern. we batterned in roof an got new slates up slating an renewing lead work as we went once roof was complete we then tidyed up as alway an cleaned down every were which had any mess. I enjoyed re-roofing mr davis roof an take a lot of pride in my work. mr davis was more than happy with the work we carried out giving us a tip an a bottle of wine because he was so happy with the way the job went. another satisfied customer :)
Simon worked last month on my house. It was a fairly large job, consisting of stripping out slate roof and all the lead detailing, re-boarding with new plywood, laying new felt and batterns and nailing new slates down. Simon is a very pleasant man, he turned up on time every time and the final job looks ace - really good. I found him to be very contactable, very reasonably priced, and very knowledgable. Review left on 14 Oct 2014Rating: 5 out of 5once scaffold was erected we striped all the flaunching down of the top of chiney then dismattled the chimney brick by brick.once chimney was down to roof level we began to rebuild the chimney with new bricks using sand cement of a three to one ratio with a mix of p.v.a. We finishined with a new flaunch an new flue an pots an chimney cowls were needed. we then moved on to strip of old gutter an facia to then fit new p.v.c facis an put new seemless guttering bac on.we then striped of small tiles of roof and cleared roof for then to battern in roof. we then had to get all tiles down on an mechanical bumper hoist to be created up to sent to merchant were we then got sent new tiles (pan tiles) were we got up on to the roof via bumper hoist. once tile were loaded on roof we relayed new tiles an fitted all fixing as to spec. we continued with the lead work of chimney until roof was completed. all throughout the job asuring the customer was happy with as little disruption an stress to her as possible.we had a final clean up once scaffolding was down asuring the client was happy which she was very pleased with our work an manor during the job carried out.
Because my house is semi detached due to a few issues we have had difficulty getting a roofer to work for us in the past. I have to say Simon was excellent, he did not mess about and is a very nice man - he kept coming back to me to keep me informed about the progress of the job, and was not over expensive - he was actually the cheapest out of the three quotes I got. Simons personality shines through, he obviously really takes pride in his work. Everything went really smoothly, and I could not be happier with my new roof. Highly recommended.
