Great guy, great value and great job. He missed a little bit of tiling behind the loo but came back a couple of days later with no quibbles. Would recommend.

Quick response - and I was satisfied with the job completed.

Very happy with finished job - hired him to do second job: re-routing water pipes and electricity cables, boxing in and tiling old boiler room to create perfect utility room. Both jobs = 8 days. Neither straightforward. Positives as follows: - Up-front, honest, hands-on-attitude, clearly explaining how problem areas could be solved. - Good price. I purchased main materials but Jacques would state what to get and best places to shop. Managed to buy everything online for home delivery. Advantage is you have full ownership of materials and cost is transparent (no hidden costs). - Perfect time-keeping. Accommodates to customer’s time no fuss. - Very clean, tidy and organised. All materials stacked neatly out of the way when not working. Areas worked on left clean. - No inconvenience caused. Job tricky - toilet and units had to be removed to pull up remainder of wood floor and replace cistern. Jacques only one stating no problem toilet would not be out of action. True to his word! (Four other estimates stated that toilet out of use for at least one day). - Very helpful giving tips and advice and making corrections. Quick and clever thinking on “tricky” areas (i.e. re-routing mess of pipework that others could not give immediate response to because they would have to "look further")! Great guy I would wholeheartedly recommend. Will definitely hire again next year to do kitchen.

Jacques arrived early and did a great job very quickly. He also spotted a few places we hadn't noticed and fixed those too. He gave us some useful advice for problems we may encounter in the future. Would use again.

I would definitely recommend Jacques - the work he did was well thought out and well finished, and of a good standard. Also, he was great to work with - always on time and friendly, and very amenable and able to come up with sensible and practical solutions when things went wrong or aspects of the job changed halfway through. My only issue would be that for this job Jacques only supplied the labour, and I had to get all of the materials. He was up front about this, but I don't think I realised how labour-intensive it would be for me (I don't have a car, is the main issue, so was pretty dependent on friends or carrying loads of stuff home from B&Q on the bus, which I didn't really enjoy). That aspect would make me think twice about hiring him again, but on the standard of work, I would do.

original quote was quickly increased but the scale was bigger than a normal kitchen tiling. There are a couple of areas where I would have wanted a smoother - more level finish but overall it is a vast improvement on what was there. Jacques worked very hard to get the job done within the timescales: his no nonsense jovial approach is refreshing.

Very good! Arrived early and finished ahead of time - I even asked for an extra sink to be fitted at the last minute and this was done too! Good job overall!

efficient and super quick

The finish was good and Jacques reccomended some really nice grout to complement my tiles. He missed out some areas of grout but when I advised him he came around within 2 days and completed it. If I had to be picky I would say that a couple of tiles are not perfectly straight, and I had to clear up after! But saying that I have recommended Jacques to a few friends and even my Mum & Dad. Top Job, top price.
