I posted the job in June 2020. Russell was one of the tradesman who responded to my add. Our first impression was good. We've discussed the job entails. He advised that he won't be able to get it done till beginning of July. Which is fine as I'm in not in a rush. Obviously, as you would - I had another quote. Just to compare price, credibility, quality etc...
Russell gave me a price, we haggle a little bit and we eventually agreed on price. So I said, book us in for the beginning of July.
The other tradesman was willing to match Russell's quote but since I've already agreed date and price with Russell. I felt necessary to stick with him.
Towards the end of June, Russell told me he is behind schedule on his other jobs due to poor weather. I told him, just keep me posted. Mid July Russell told me he fell off the steps and won't be in action for at least 4 weeks. Again, I said, just keep me posted.
Anyhow, Russell didn't keep me posted. I have to keep on chasing him when he'll be able to do the job. This is now towards end of August. He told me that he is doing a massive job. I was under the impression that when he is up and about he would fit me in but obviously not.
It's a massive let down. I've wasted time - Russell has zero intention of doing the job.
So on that note, I cannot rate his work. But in terms of reliability, professionalism and integrity. I am very confident to say, he's got zero in my opinion, that is purely based on my experience dealing with Russell.
